Beating the winter blahs!

Seriously, I am a person who NEEDS sun and unfortunately this winter has been horrible!  For some reason the place I live in PA seems to be gloomy all the time!  But thank goodness I have some TurboFire to get me going!  A good workout with fun music always brightens my day!

Slip ups...

Okay, so you all know what I'm talking about, where all the sudden you are stressed, PMSing, SOMETHING and that chocolate or candy is calling your name!  Honestly, we all have those moments, in fact I just had a minor mishap, downing 2 snack size Kit Kat bars, reaching for the 3rd and I decided no way!  So I grabbed a banana and ate that, downing water like it's my job too!  The thing is, one slip up does NOT have to ruin your day, move on and move forward!  That's what I'm doing, going to workout (maybe a little extra now, lol) and eat healthy for the rest of the day!  Have a great day everyone!

Lazy day...what?

Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!  Unfortunately mine is filled with throw up among other bodily fluids from my children. :(  So today I thought alright, I can take the day off because I really haven't taken a day off of exercise for several weeks now!  So I laid on the couch all morning, cuddled with my sickies, watched numerous movies, etc.  But after lunch I started talking with a friend who just got TurboFire in the mail today and she was so excited to start it.  This made me excited too, so I hurried upstairs and changed out of my PJs and into my workout clothes, 55 minutes later, I am SUPER happy that I just finished Fire 55 EZ class and I'm about to do ChaLEAN's Lower body extreme zone as well!  It's addicting I tell you, I really do not think I could lay around all day and be lazy anymore, thank you Chalene!  <3  Get addicted to exercise, BEST addiction out there!!

Getting over the scale

I think this is one of the hardest things to do, for me anyway!  I used to be one of those people who got on the scale every single day!  I soon came to learn that the number on the scale is not as important as how you feel and how your clothes are fitting!  You are better off doing measurements if you want to see some results.  I recently started doing a program, ChaLEAN Extreme, in which I am lifting heavy weights 3 times a week and I can tell my body is getting toned, adding muscle.  Muscle BURNS fat, but it is also heavier.  I have to keep telling myself that because I am not seeing a huge difference in the scale but I lost a little over 3 inches on my body in the past 2 weeks!  Plus that lower belly mommy pooch is disappearing, what a WONDERFUL feeling!!!  Have a good weekend and put that scale away for a couple weeks!  :)

Ironic...

It is funny I started this blog yesterday, been exercising every day for the past several weeks then my baby girl wakes up and throws up all over the place this morning, ick!  Some days you just need to cuddle with your baby and take a break!  Or workout when she goes to bed.... ;)

So excited!

I am FINALLY entering the BLOG world!  It's about time since so many FB friends told me I should get one, lol.  My main focus of this blog is to keep people motivated to exercise and be fit, whether you are a mom like me, dad, working parents, single, whoever you are, you can exercise and have FUN doing it!  Stay posted an bear with me as I figure out all this blog stuff, lol.  :)
